AN elderly woman was airlifted to hospital following a medical incident in Southbourne.
A Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance helicopter was seen landing on the Southbourne coast road after a woman reportedly fell down the stairs.
The incident occurred this morning (September 19).
A spokesperson for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance said: “We attended an incident in the Southbourne area of Bournemouth today which was reported as an elderly female who had fallen downstairs.
“Our Dorset Outreach car was in attendance manned by a specialist practitioner, and our critical care team (manned by a doctor, specialist practitioner, pilot and co-pilot) arrived by helicopter.
“The patient was airlifted to Southampton Hospital.”
