WATER works, gas works and road marking repairs are all being completed on a busy Bournemouth road this week.
Residents have complained of long queues spanning Glenferness Avenue due to multiple roadworks being carried out by different organisations.
Until September 13, BCP Council is removing the existing road markings and replace them with new ones.
This work is being done on Glenferness Avenue, between Alford Road and Rothesay Road. Traffic control will be in place, with stop-and-go boards held by workers.
From September 9 to September 16, SGN will carry out utility repair and maintenance works on the same stretch of road.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place while the gas company conducts its work. Finally, South West Water is also working on the road to carry out utility repair and maintenance works.
The company has installed ‘give and take’ traffic management for drivers using the road.
These works are expected to be completed by September 11.
