OFFICERS are investigating after a man was hospitalised following an assault at a Southbourne bar.
A man in his 50s was reportedly assaulted at Fez Bar on Seabourne Road at around 12am on August 12.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his cheekbone and eye socket.
Following enquiries, a 40 year old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.
He has since been released under investigation.
Now, officers are appealing for witnessed of the assault to get in touch.
Detective constable Rhiannon House, of BCP CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this matter and from our enquiries we understand there were a number of people in the vicinity when the alleged assault occurred.
“I am appealing for any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.”
