A MAN was found dead by police officers after taking ketamine.
Joshua William Leatham-Prosser, 26, was found dead at his home St Leonard's Road, Weymouth in on June 5.
Police broke their way into the home of Dorchester-born Mr Leatham-Prosser where he was found dead.
Coroner’s officer Grace Monro said: “On June 5, 2024, the ambulance and police services received a call from family with a concern for welfare for Joshua Leatham-Prosser.
“Ambulance gained entry and found Joshua unresponsive within the property. He was sadly declared deceased at the scene and police have confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances.
“Joshua William Leatham-Prosser was formally identified by PC Matthew Barrett at the scene.”
A provisional cause of death was recorded by the Holly Tree Lodge in Bournemouth as urinary sepsis due to severe acute on chronic cystitis and pyelonephritis due to chronic ketamine use.
Dorset coroner Rachael Griffin told Bournemouth Coroner’s Court that statements would be needed from his family, GP, mental health teams if they were in touch with him and Dorset Police.
She adjourned the inquest until February 20, 2025.
