A CAR boot sale has been cancelled this weekend.
Poole Stadium car boot sale will not go ahead on Sunday, September 8 because of the recently issued weather warning by the Met Office.
A new yellow weather warning has been issued from 9pm on Saturday, September 7 until 6pm on Sunday, September 8.
The warning covers the whole of the county including Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
Organisers for the car boot sale said: Due to the weather warnings of thunder and rain, we have cancelled [Sunday’s] car boot sale at Poole Stadium.
“We will be back open next Sunday, September 15. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
A Met Office spokesperson said: “Whilst there remains some uncertainty with exact details, areas of heavy and at times thundery rain are expected to spread north, then west, across England and Wales from this evening and overnight.
"These areas of heavy rain may become more persistent across western areas during Sunday daytime whilst slow-moving heavy showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop further east.”
The spokesperson added some places could see less than 10mm of rainfall, while others could see as much as 40 to 60mm of rain.
