A VERWOOD choir has returned home after performing outside two iconic Spanish cathedrals.
Led by choir leader, Jenny Deacon, the Sweet Charity Choir performed in both Salamanca and Zamora in Spain with a set list of covers from bands such as U2 and Coldplay.
First performing on the steps of the Salamanca Cathedral on August 27, the choir held its second performance in the Plaza de la Cathedral de Zamora days later.
A spokesperson for the choir said: "The Sweet Charity Choir has just returned from a successful trip having shared their love of music with the people of Spain.
"At both performances the choir was accompanied by electric piano, guitars and drums wrapping the audience in an aura of emotion and passion."
Founded in 2017 by Jenny, the mission of the choir is to raise money for a different charity every month.
The choir meets twice a month.
The spokesperson added: "Jenny Deacon is an inspiration, who with her infectious passion and unique conducting style cannot help but embrace both the choir and the audience to smile and fall in love with the power of music to unite all."
