NEARLY £22,000 was raised for charity at this year’s Bournemouth Air Festival.
Wessex Cancer Support raised the funds at its annual Bournemouth Air Festival hospitality event, held at Key West Restaurant on the pier.
More than 100 guests were welcomed with a Pimm’s on the pier, followed by a three-course lunch and some fundraising games, before enjoying spectacular VIP views of the Air Festival flight displays.
Supported by QuoStar for the tenth year running, the event has raised more than £120,000 in total over the years.
The funds are used to provide practical and emotional support to anyone affected by cancer in Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Robert Rutherford, CEO at QuoStar, said: "We are proud to support Wessex Cancer Support for the tenth year running. It's inspiring to see our community come together to make a real difference in the lives of those affected by cancer."
Jo Merrett, Wessex Cancer Support’s head of philanthropy and major partnerships, said: "I’m thrilled the day raised so much money and can’t thank our guests enough for their generosity.
"We’re also extremely grateful for QuoStar for sponsoring the event and to Key West for providing a perfect location from which to watch the amazing Air Festival displays.”
