A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of intentional strangulation and threats to kill in Ferndown.
Police received a report at 1.42pm on Sunday, August 25 of an assault involving two people at an address in Dugdell Close in Ferndown.
Officers attended and carried out searches of the area, assisted by the NPAS helicopter, to locate those believed to be involved.
A male teenager was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not life-threatening or life-changing.
A 20-year-old man from Ferndown was arrested on suspicion of assault, intentional strangulation and threats to kill.
He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue. The arrested man and the victim are known to each other.
Enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
