RAIL passengers should prepare for significant disruption as train lines in the Southampton area will be closed for a weekend in September.
South Western Railway has announced that from Saturday, September 28, to Sunday, September 29, the lines will be shut down for maintenance work.
This closure will impact CrossCountry, Great Western Railway, and Southern services.
The London Waterloo to Weymouth services will terminate at Southampton Airport Parkway.
Services to Bournemouth will be completely suspended.
A fast bus service will run between Southampton Airport Parkway, Bournemouth, Poole, Branksome, Parkstone, and Christchurch.
Additionally, a bus service will be available between Brockenhurst and Lymington.
