AN INVESTIGATION has opened after firefighters extinguished a car found ‘well alight’.
Firefighters rushed to the scene of a car engulfed in flames at Ensbury Park in Bournemouth.
The late-night fire was extinguished and the incident has now been handed to Dorset Police.
Photos and footage taken from Joshua Muir, a Bournemouth resident show the extent of the fire.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service said: “We attended a car fire in Bournemouth at 22.50pm last night (August 10).
“We sent two appliances because it was parked quite close to a house.
“When we got there it was a private vehicle, well alight, and we used extinguishers to deal with the fire and then handed the incident over to the police.”
Dorset Police has been contacted for more information.
