COMMUNITY Speed Watch volunteers are being sought for the Ringwood area.
There are currently two teams operating in Ringwood, one in Hightown and the other in Poulner.
Posting on social media on behalf of the Community Speed Watch teams, Ringwood Police said: “They carry out regular sessions monitoring speed in various locations around Ringwood, generally lasting an hour each time, and are keen to continue to do this because of the positive impact we know it has on the community.
“Each session needs three volunteers in order to go ahead so they need your help - if you are passionate about the impact of speeding in your community and would be able to give up even one hour a month to assist with monitoring speed so that offenders can be sufficiently warned and educated then please do consider joining up as a volunteer. “
Full training will be given and those interested in signing up are encouraged to email New.Forest.West.Police@hampshire.police.uk.
People must include their contact details and which group they are interested in joining so police can put those interested in touch with their local co-ordinator.
