A MAN is in a serious condition in hospital following an incident in Boscombe.
Emergency services were called to assist the man who was in need of medical attention at St James Court in Owls Road.
Police and the ambulance service attended the scene, and an air ambulance landed in Kings Park.
The injured man was airlifted to Southampton Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition. His family has been informed.
The incident, which occurred shortly after midday on Thursday, is being investigated by Dorset Police.
Officers are carrying out enquiries to establish how the man came to sustain his injuries.
A cordon remains in place at the scene in Owls Road.
