A SUPERMARKET worker was attacked while trying to stop a fight that had erupted.

A Morrisons employee noticed a fight between a group of people and another customer at the supermarket in Chiltern Drive, Verwood.

When they went to stop it, one of the group assaulted them leaving the victim with minor injuries.

Officers have now shared CCTV images of a man they want to identify after the incident that happened shortly before 9pm on Wednesday, October 4.

Police community support investigator Kate Hann, of Dorset Police, said: “The behaviour demonstrated during this incident is completely unacceptable and we are doing all we can to support the victim and identify those involved.

“I have obtained CCTV images of the suspect of the alleged assault and I would urge anyone who knows him or witnessed the incident to please come forward.”
