AN international coffee shop chain could be coming to Bournemouth railway station.
American chain Starbucks could soon be opening up for business at the train station, according to a minor variation application submitted by Select Services Partner (UK) Ltd to BCP Council’s licensing team.
If approved, minor changes would be made to the layout of the café at the station, and the name would be changed to Starbucks.
The current coffee offering at Bournemouth railway station comes from a Pumpkin Café on platform 2, along with the Little Green Coffee Box outside the front, opposite the bus station.
The nearest Starbucks is located in Holdenhurst Road.
Elsewhere, a new Starbucks opened its doors at the beginning of November at Ringwood Road retail park.
There are currently 10 Starbucks stores in the Bournemouth and Poole area.
The deadline for the consultation on the licensing application is November 20.
