ALTHOUGH I share Matt Harrison’s despair over the seemingly endless and uncoordinated roadworks, it does add a frisson of excitement to every journey.
I think of it as roadwork roulette; 'will I be able to get to Ferndown from Bournemouth? Possibly but I can’t plan on getting back easily'
Castle Lane? Chaos!
What route should I take to escape from Wimborne ? It doesn’t matter, they’re all blocked.
Highcliffe from Christchurch? Best not try it .
Sadly there are no real prizes,merely a slight chance you may make an appointment on time, or help a small shopkeeper stave off insolvency for another month by enduring the dreaded “essential works” blighting their road.
