PRIMARK is the shop most of you would like to see open in Castlepoint.
We asked residents what business they wanted to see open a new shop in one of Castlepoint’s empty units.
Currently, there is limited availability in the Bournemouth shopping centre, with space only available in the former Dorothy Perkins unit, Barclays, NatWest.
Hundreds of you replied on Facebook, with lots wanting to see the budget clothes shop Primark come to Castlepoint.
One woman suggested: “IKEA, Primark and an indoor play area for kids,” while another wants The Works to join a Primark.
One man said he would like to see an Apple store – the nearest to here being in Southampton’s West Quay. He added he’s like to see a “Levi’s or a good café.”
However, one person thinking outside the box said: “Whilst a Zara would be lovely, I’d love one of the units to become a food court. Communal seating and loads of diverse restaurants.”
Another woman added: “Butcher's, Iceland, Fresh Fish mongers and fruit and veg stall,” with another saying, “Lego and Haribo, my favourite things.”
Others suggested they wanted to see fashion chain Zara open, while others, unsatisfied with the size of McDonald’s in Asda, wanted to see a larger one.
Wagamama, Tiger, Pandora and even a cinema were also on the wish list of Bournemouth residents.
Castlepoint is celebrating its 20th birthday this weekend with a new rebrand.
Before Christmas, Hotel Chocolat and Nike will be opening its doors.
