I AM writing to express my disappointment of the lack of resources in our local gyms for new mums to be able to exercise.
BH live offer one mum and baby class across all their centres which only run once a week.
Gyms also don’t have crèche facilities anymore apart from David Lloyd which you need to remortgage your house to be able to join.
There are independent pay as you go mum and baby exercise classes but they are costly and if you were to do them twice a week it would cost more than a gym membership.
I would love to see more mum and baby exercises classes and crèches at our gyms locally.
We are striving for a healthier population yet new mums are very limited in their options locally.
We haven’t always got partners/family around to look after baby whilst we exercise.
