TODAY again, I had to dodge quickly to avoid an e-bike riding at speed along the promenade between Branksome Chine and the pier.
I spoke to a ranger who was phoning a colleague to warn that ‘Rocket Man’ (unidentifiable in a blacked-out motorcycle helmet) was again on his way along the promenade.
Apparently they have no power to stop the bikes and e-scooters, are ignored by the police if they report it and have never seen a police patrol.
The area was busy with young families.
Is it going to take an accident before the police or council act?
