CONVENIENCE shops and takeaways in Bournemouth and Poole have joined forces with a popular home delivery app to expand their offerings.

At least nine retailers in the region will launch with Snappy Shopper to provide fast home delivery of its products to residents at cheaper costs.

The partnership means customers can benefit from the convenience of home delivery without paying a premium price usually associated with delivery services, due to Snappy Shopper's 30 to 60-minute delivery pledge.

Stores involved in the venture include:

  • Tuckton News in Tuckton Road, Bournemouth
  • Premier Talbot in Gillett Road, Talbot Village
  • Seaview News in Sea View Road, Parkstone
  • Premier Maple in Kingston Road, Poole
  • Premier Belben in Belben Road, Poole
  • Oakdale in Wimborne Road, Poole
  • Jenkins News Food & Wine (aka HB Hibbs) in High Street, Swanage
  • King Rooster Peri Peri in Belben Road, Poole

Devang Patel, owner of Oakdale Convenience store & Premier Belben, described the venture as “a great move” for his business.

He said: “With the future of the high-street unknown, expanding to offer this to consumers means we can boost our sales whilst helping those who support our local business during difficult times.”

To celebrate the new initiative, launching on Thursday, June 8, the stores are offering all new customers the chance to get £9 off a £10 shop – allowing them to receive a £10 basket of shopping for just £1.

All customers must do is enter the code HELLO when they check-out their order.

“We are delighted to be expanding Snappy Shopper into Bournemouth,” said Snappy Shopper CEO Mike Callachan.

“Especially after the success Snappy experienced when we expanded into Exeter, with stores hitting nearly 200 orders in their first week on the platform.

“This expansion into Bournemouth has come at a great time, as home delivery is evidently becoming more in-demand across the south of England.”

Customers can order from Snappy Shopper by downloading the app from the App Store or the Google Play store.

Launched in 2018, Snappy Shopper enables retailers to drive sales and engage with new customers while encouraging communities to shop with local retailers.
