A MAJOR event featuring Conservative politicians will take place in Bournemouth this weekend.

The event has been organised by the Conservative Democratic Organisation.

The event comes just days after former UKIP leader Nigel Farage visited Bournemouth on Wednesday and said had seen “catastrophic” results in last week’s elections for BCP Conservatives

Where is the event being held?

It was originally billed as taking place at “a premier Bournemouth venue with ample parking”.

It is understood the conference is being hosted at the Bournemouth International Centre.

What is the event about?

The Conservative Democratic Organisation website says: “ARE YOU READY TO TAKE BACK CONTROL?

“We certainly are, and we look forward to welcoming you to the CDO Conference in Bournemouth on Saturday, 13th May 2023, where you’ll join like-minded patriots who, like you, want to save our party and our country.

“You are invited to the Take Control daytime conference with a stellar line-up of speakers and celebrity panellists.

“Then in the evening, we invite you to lose control on the dance floor after a superb 3-course meal, wine, and live music from Britain’s Got Talent stars, The Soldiers of Swing.”

Who is speaking?

A list of confirmed speakers includes Conservative Party politicians Nadine Dorries, Jacob Rees-Mogg and Priti Patel.

Other people set to attend include Lord Cruddas and Nadine Dorries plus “various other members of Parliament, media commentators, the CDO team and very special guests”.

What’s happening on the day?

According to the Conservative Democratic Organisation, a conference will be held between 11am and 5pm. This will include an AGM, speeches, audience participation, debate and a celebrity panel.

A gala dinner will then take place from 7.30pm to 1am.

This will include a three course meal with wine and live music from Britain’s Got Talent stars Soldiers of Swing.
