A NEW restaurant featuring robot waiters and a dogs menu has opened in the New Forest.
Sitting on Shorefield Country Park in Milford-On-Sea, ‘The Beachcomber’ is a family-oriented complex with a 750-seat restaurant, a bar area and an entertainment room.
Owned by Shorefield, the owner of a number of holiday parks in Dorset, the site opened its doors last week as part of a £3 million investment.

Four-pawed friends will be able to enjoy breakfast, lunch and desserts served on the Pooch Corner.
Staff will also be supported by two robot waiters which will deliver food and clear plates.
The venue's design was inspired by the theme ‘forest meets the sea’ in homage to Shorefield’s nine parks in the New Forest and across the south coast.
The Beachcomber will also include a large show called the landing stage live lounge where guests can enjoy family entertainment as well as cabaret and live music acts.

Speaking at the opening of the venue last Thursday, Simon Pollock, managing director, said: “We’re delighted to open The Beachcomber today as part of Shorefield’s ongoing bid to remain as the top accommodation provider in Hampshire, Dorset and the New Forest.
“Shorefield is continually investing in new facilities, upgrading and expanding our parks to offer our guests and owners memorable and relaxing breaks, and we are keen for our growth to drive more visitation to benefit local businesses, boost employment opportunities, and it means we can continue to be a supportive charitable partner for a range of causes close to our heart.
“The Beachcomber is a great addition to Shorefield Country Park, and we’re sure our new bar and restaurant will be enjoyed by holiday guests, owners and members alike for years to come.”
