A MAN who was caught with a knife in a Bournemouth church has been jailed for several months.
Arron John Gray, 26, had a locking knife in St Peter’s Church in the town centre on January 24.
Gray, of no fixed abode, was sentenced at a Poole Magistrates’ Court hearing on March 21 after he admitted charges of possessing a bladed article in a public place and failing to surrender to custody at the court on February 8 having been released on bail.
He also admitted breaching a suspended sentence order made on January 18 with the commission of the further offences.
The defendant was committed to prison for a total of 42 weeks, which included 26 weeks imprisonment for the knife offence.
Gray was also ordered to pay a £187 surcharge and an order was made to deprive him of the knife.
