PARENTS of a group of children acting anti-socially have been notified of their behaviour thanks to neighbourhood police.

Officers from the Neighbourhood Enforcement Team and Neighbourhood Policing Team took action following reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the Duck Lane and Turnbull Lane area of Bournemouth.

Reports came in from members of the community in relation to the ASB on the evening of Saturday, February 4, and a dispersal order was secured.

A total of seven individuals – aged between 12 and 15 – were stopped by officers and two were issued with dispersal notices, requiring them to leave the area for 24 hours or face being arrested.

The parents and guardians of the children involved have also been notified.

Two 15-year-old boys were also detained for searches and found to be in possession of suspected class B drugs. They are assisting officers with ongoing enquiries.

A Bournemouth Police spokesperson said: “We will continue to respond to concerns raised by our local communities and take positive action to disrupt the activities of those reported to be involved in anti-social behaviour and other offending.”
