A MAN taken to hospital after emergency services were called to a supermarket car park in Bournemouth has died.

Police were called by the ambulance service to a man in need of medical attention at the Asda car park in St Pauls Road at 6.27pm on Thursday, February 2.

The man, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital.

He passed away in hospital the same night and his next of kin have been informed.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “The death is currently being treated as unexplained, although it is not thought to be suspicious, and the coroner has been notified.”

A 46-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of supplying a class B drug and administering a noxious substance.

He has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
