A LIFEBOAT was called out after a person was reported to have fallen into the sea at Christchurch.
The RNLI in Mudeford, Christchurch, was called to respond to a report that somebody had fallen into the water at 3.45am on Sunday, February 5.
The team of volunteers were “challenged” because of the “very low tide” and the boat had to be pushed out to deeper waters.
The early morning call was then cancelled after the person who reportedly had fallen in the sea had been found safe.
A spokesperson for RNLI said: “At 0345 this morning, the Mudeford RNLI was requested to launch in response to a concern that someone had fallen in the water.

“In addition to the early start, the volunteers were further challenged by the very low tide, resulting in them having to push the boat in an area of very low water.
“Fortunately, the launch was cancelled due to the person having been found safe.
“The lifeboat returned to the station and volunteers returned to their beds for a few hours' sleep, before coming back to the lifeboat station for Sunday morning training and exercises.”
