DOGS, horses, pigs and rabbits are looking for their forever homes in Dorset.

Margaret Green Animal Rescue needs to find homes for eight pets this week.

Can you help? All the details are below.

Bournemouth Echo: Marshall Marshall (Image: Margaret Green)

Marshall is a handsome, one-year-old Collie x Greyhound who loves to lean into people for affection. As he is still very young, he would benefit from going to training classes with his new family, where he can improve his recall and loose lead skills. We believe that Marshall would be best suited to a home with a similar-sized, confident dog and he would be happy to live with teenage children.

Bournemouth Echo: BanditBandit (Image: Margaret Green Animal Rescue)

Bandit is a three-year-old, ex-racing Greyhound who likes to take time to get to know his surroundings. He is a big softie who loves to have a cuddle and will look to his carers for reassurance when he is worried. We believe that living with a larger female dog would help with Bandit’s confidence, and his ideal home would be with teenagers and adults, where there are no cats or small furries.

Bournemouth Echo: MiloMilo (Image: Margaret Green Animal Rescue)

Milo is an almost two-year-old Collie who has a great sense of adventure! He really enjoys his training and having something to do, so he would love to find new owners who will continue his training sessions and who would ideally like to give an activity like trick training, agility or scent work a go. He is looking for a home in a quieter area with adults and possibly another dog, following successful introductions.

Bournemouth Echo: BrandyBrandy (Image: Margaret Green Animal Rescue)

Brandy is a 14.2hh, chestnut Part Bred Arab x Gelding who is 19 years old. When he first came into our care, he was unhandled and very fearful of human contact. His confidence has massively increased and he would love to find an experienced home with a keen interest in groundwork, where he can continue to blossom. Brandy is looking for a home with companions, as he is good at living with mares and geldings in a small herd environment.

Bournemouth Echo: Charlotte & DougalCharlotte & Dougal (Image: Margaret Green Animal Rescue)

Charlotte & Dougal are a four-year-old, bonded pair of pigs who love receiving fuss and attention. Charlotte is a very inquisitive and chatty pig and Dougal can be shy to start with, but he soon warms up to people. They both enjoy taking a dip in the wallow in the summer and having zoomies around their paddock! They are looking for a home with a draught free-bedroom and plenty of outdoor space.

Bournemouth Echo: Vernon & TikkaVernon & Tikka (Image: Margaret Green Animal Rescue)

Vernon & Tikka are a three-year-old, adventurous pair who are looking for a forever home together. They prefer not to be handled at this stage, but this could develop over time as they enjoy receiving fuss whilst relaxing and hopping around on the ground. They like being up high and jumping around, so they would love to find a large home with lots of space.
