FIREFIGHTERS had to tackle a blaze in a recycling bank in a supermarket car park.
The emergency service crew was called to the charity donation containers in the Sainsbury’s car park in Lyndhurst Road, Christchurch, at around 10.45am on Monday, January 9.
A fire engine from Christchurch attended and on arrival crews were met with smoke and smouldering material coming out of the recycling bank.
#whitewatch were mobilised by @DWFireControl earlier this morning to a fire in a recycling bank. To knock it back we used a hose reel, then upgraded to a 70ml main line hose to fully extinguish. #christchurchfirestation #dwfire #fire #DORSET https://t.co/KIELzFloDG pic.twitter.com/vkpCVSta5D
