A FAST-FOOD pizza takeaway chain is set to open in a former town centre bank later this month.

Domino’s has announced it will open a new branch in the former Barclays bank in Station Road, New Milton at some point within the next week.

DPSK Limited was given permission by New Forest District Council to open a new takeaway restaurant in New Milton back in December – the town’s first branch.

A spokeswoman for Domino’s said: “We’re delighted to be opening a new store in New Milton later this month, bringing our fresh, piping hot pizzas to even more loyal customers across south-west Hampshire.”

The branch will be open between 11am and 11pm, Sunday to Thursday, and 11am and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

The spokeswoman added they are on the lookout for employees. She said: “We’re also on the lookout for exceptional people to be part of our store team.

“Anyone interested in a role should contact the Recruitment Team on 07976870703.”

A report by a council planning officer said: “The proposal would make good use of an otherwise empty building without giving rise to harmful impacts on the character of the area.

“There would be no loss of retail frontage as the existing lawful use is financial services.”
