The Vamps arrived in Bournemouth on Wednesday night to play the latest leg of their 'Greatest Hits' tour celebrating 10 years of hits and sold-out shows.

Before The Vamps came to the stage however we were treated to two excellent support acts.

Henry Moodie was up first accompanied by an acoustic guitarist, both doing a fine job of translating an impressive online TikTok following into a great live set.

The Aces were next up and were a real surprise to me, a four piece from Utah they delivered a set of perfect indie pop songs that had me wondering how I had not already heard of them.

On this showing Katie Henderson, McKenna Petty, Alisa and Cristal Ramirez should go on to much greater things. Perfect pop at its finest!

Of course, as good as the support acts may be the majority of the crowd are here to see The Vamps.

The crowd screamed and you could feel the rise in energy levels in the room when the band hit the stage.

The show kicked off with Last Night which was a fantastic opening number and set the tone for the next one and a half hours.

The band were full of energy and spent the entire performance moving and bouncing around the stage.

On numerous occasions lead singer Bradley made best use of the stage extension and moved through the crowd engaging with the fans to a rapturous reaction.

He spent a portion of the evening wearing a Christmas tree headband given to him by one of the crowd, adding a bit of extra fun to the act.

At the start of the Shades On song Bradley shouted "did any of you bring some shade tonight? If so put them on" and he started the song and some of the crowds in the pit raised their shades, wanting Bradley to have them.

He took a blue pair put them on and then just before the first chorus, he threw them into the crowd.

It was also an emotional night as local lad James reminisced about being an 11-year-old, seeing his first gig at the BIC Windsor hall and how he wanted to play the guitar and that he is now on stage himself, playing in a group that has been together for 10 years.

Bradley then thanked all the fans for their support over the years and mentioned about maybe planning for the 20th anniversary.

The drummer, Connor, said a few words thanking the fans for coming and chilling with them after Covid and isolations.

Before the encore the band left the stage, and a video played of all their time together over the years, leading to where they are today.

After the video the lights went down and to cries of We Want More the band returned to the stage tto wow us with four more songs.

They played a variety of hits throughout the evening new and old and ended the evening with Somebody to You creating a great atmosphere to end a grea night.

Bradley asked the crowd to put their phones away for the last forty seconds of the song during the chorus, so we could all spend time enjoying the last part of the show together.

As the band left the stage for the night, the drummer stayed, took his drumsticks and gave a stick to a person on either side of the pits and then followed his band members off stage.

The Vamps said it was their job to make sure that it was the best night of our life, with no voice left from joining in the singing and sore feet from dancing.

I must say the show is defiantly amazing and not be missed if you get chance to see them perform. Just absolutely brilliant!
