GIGGLES in Bournemouth will be closing next month leaving hundreds of people devastated to see them go.

Giggles has announced they will be closing on Friday, December 23 after their landlord has decided they want the site back.

The Playcentre has assured its customers that any parties booked for next year will be refunded.

In a social media post, a spokesperson for Giggles said: "It’s with a heavy heart I write this message.

"Giggles will be closing, our landlord wants the site back due to selling the site.

"They did offer us first a snip for one million pounds.

"We don’t have that sort of money and have no option other than to close.

"All parties in December will go ahead, and any parties for next year will be refunded. Giggles team."

Hundreds of people reacted to the post, sharing their sadness about the closure.

One upset parent commented: "This is such sad news! We’ve loved visiting giggles for the past 10+ years. My children will be gutted when I tell them."

Another said: "We’re so sad to hear this news.

"As a dad with a son with autism we’ve found play centres hard places to go to and have staff accept some of his characteristics, but you guys have always been so welcoming and we’ve never had to worry about bringing him.

"We will definitely miss you guys. Thank you for the last few years allowing my son to play judgement free."

Another commented: "So sorry to hear this. You guys have been a favourite for my two since they were babies. It will be a huge loss to the local area, and you’ll be missed by so many families."
