A PEDESTRIAN has been involved in a crash with a car near a school in Poole this morning.
The crash happened in Higher Blandford Road near Corfe Hills School.
It involved a Citroën C3 and a female pedestrian.
The air ambulance was called and a patient has been taken to Poole Hospital by land ambulance.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 08.40hrs to an incident in Poole.
"We sent a double-crewed land ambulance, an air ambulance and an operations officer.
"We are conveying one patient by land ambulance to Poole Hospital.”
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 8.13am with a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Higher Blandford Road in Poole.
"Officers have attended and the female pedestrian is being treated by the ambulance service.
"We do not have a condition update at this time."
Police left the scene shortly after 10.30am.
