POLICE discovered a knife on a young person today after detaining the person for a drugs search. 

The Neighbourhood Enforcement Team, of Poole Police, were out in Poole town centre today when they detained the youth for a drugs search. 

Whilst searching the youth, officers discovered a lock knife in his possession. 

The juvenile is now helping police with enquiries. 

A spokesperson for Poole Police said: “Dorset Police are relentless in their approach to keeping people safe and preventing serious crime.”

Yesterday, police in Poole were patrolling Poole Park after receiving reports of anti-social behaviour and people egging houses. 

It is alleged people have been egging several properties in the area behind the park. 

A spokesperson for Poole Police said: “This behaviour will not be tolerated and we will continue to patrol these areas in the evenings for the foreseeable future. Enquires are ongoing to identify individuals involved.
