THE summer fun continues in Dorset this weekend with a host of events taking place.

If you’re looking for something to do, there’s no shortage of options.

Here’s our guide to what’s happening where and when.

Prepare to ‘ooh’ and ‘aah’ at Bournemouth’s summer fireworks on Friday night. The free display on Bournemouth seafront takes place every Friday in August at 10pm.

1. Dorset Indian Mela comes to Poole Park on Saturday between 10am and 6pm. The cultural celebration will feature live music, crafts, food stalls and more.

2. Canford Summer Fair returns to Canford School at Canford Magna on Saturday and Sunday. Visitors will be treated to live music, entertainment and a range of stalls selling everything from crafts, plants, food and more. Open 10am to 5pm. Entry £3.50 for adults, concessions £3 and free for under 16s.

3. Poole Lifeboat Station will be opening its doors to members of the public on Sunday between 10.30am and 4pm. Visitors will be able to see water-based demonstrations, look around boats and floating boathouse, talk to volunteers, plus there will be a variety of stalls and prizes to be won. Refreshments will also be available.

4. Free yoga continues on Sunday at Bournemouth’s Central Gardens, Poole’s Upton Country Park and The Quomps at Christchurch at 9.30am. Take your own mat or towel.

5. Families can watch classic movies on the big screen in Bournemouth’s Lower Gardens. Saturday will kick off with Lil & Stitch at 12.15pm, followed by Finding Nemo at 3.15pm and Hairspray at 7pm. Then on Sunday, people can watch The Jungle Book at 12.15pm, followed by Mary Poppins at 3.15pm and Back to the Future at 7pm.

6. Free dance sessions continue at on the terraces outside Pavilion Dance on Friday and Saturday evening between 7pm and 9pm. Learn how to street dance on Friday with vintage jazz classes on offer the following night.

7. Steamship Circus will be treating youngsters to circus workshops in the Lower Gardens on Sunday afternoon between 2pm and 6pm.
