Police are appealing for information after a woman was sexually assaulted in Bournemouth town centre.

The woman was pulled into the Lower Gardens and attacked last month.

Now officers want to speak to two people who spoke to her in the aftermath of the attack.

It is reported that the man - who was described as five feet eight inches tall and had a beard - attempted to pull the victim into the gardens and sexually assaulted her over her clothing.

The victim managed to get away and spoke to two teenagers who were in the area.

Police Constable Daniel Wilson, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident to identify the man responsible and we will support the victim as our enquiries continue.

“I am appealing to the two members of the public who spoke to the victim after the incident to please come forward as you may have important information to help my investigation.
