A MAINS water leak caused delays along Ringwood Road on Tuesday.
South West Water responded to the water leak along the A3487, south of Longham Bridge.
Temporary traffic lights were in use and the queues are backed up all the way to Longham double mini roundabout.
A spokesperson for Bournemouth Water said: “Our team has carried out investigative work following reports of an issue on Ringwood Road.
"A small leak had caused damage to the road surface and we repaired the damage.
"The remedial works to fix the leak will be complex and will require traffic restrictions. We are working with Bournemouth Council to agree a time to carry out the work while minimising disruption for road users.”
