SEVERAL police descended on Bournemouth town centre on Monday afternoon, August 8, after a police community support officer (PCSO) was reportedly assaulted by a man.
The incident happened in the Lower Gardens after the PCSO was dealing with a concern for welfare incident at 1.30pm.
Officers attended the scene in Exeter Crescent behind the BH2 leisure complex and two men have been arrested on suspicion of assault of an emergency worker.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We were alerted at 1.30pm on Monday 8 August 2022 that a Police Community Support Officer had been reportedly assaulted by a man while dealing with a concern for welfare incident in the Lower Gardens in Bournemouth.
“Officers attended and two men have been arrested on suspicion of assault of an emergency worker.”
