A PRE-school near Lymington has received the highest-possible rating by Ofsted in its first inspection by the regulator.

Launchpad Boldre Pre-school was described by inspectors as an outstanding nursery in all areas where “children receive the best possible start to their learning”.

The school first opened in 2019 and is part of the Launchpad group of early years settings in Hampshire. Linked with the Diocese of Winchester, Launchpad schools have a broad Christian ethos similar to church schools and are open to children of all faiths and none.

Ofsted’s inspector wrote: “The preschool's environment is an exceptionally nurturing setting for children to flourish, where their happiness and development are paramount.

“Children's behaviour is exemplary at all times. They display impressive levels of concentration and perseverance as they master and consolidate their problem-solving skills.”

Reacting to the glowing report, Boldre pre-school manager Caroline Patience said: “We are very proud to have achieved such a result and pleased to be able to provide our children with a nurturing environment to learn and play. This report is an indication of how professional, supportive and knowledgeable our staff is in designing the most effective curriculum for the children.”
