AS DORSET faces its 'hottest day on record', a number of pop-up beach bars are providing food and drink along the shore.

Here are six beach bars and restaurants you can visit across BCP until the end of the season.

W Beach, West Beach, Bournemouth

W Beach is located to the right of Bournemouth Pier, it launched it 2021 as an ‘exclusive’ beach side drinking and dining experience.

The pop-up has a bigger capacity this year with 250 seats, a VIP area with sun loungers and umbrellas, DJs and a food menu available every day.

West Beach recently announced an Italian-inspired takeover of the restaurant until September 30.

The site has been transformed into a corner of Italy by drink brand Aperol.

WestBeach Piazza Aperol will be open daily from 12pm-9pm, ‘bringing a stunning Italian square to the heart of Bournemouth.’

Sunset Beach Club, Aruba, Bournemouth

The Sunset Beach Club website says: “Sunset Beach Club is a pop-up from the creators of Aruba and Lost. Located on the sunny shores of Bournemouth Beach next to the pier.

“A truly unique, family-friendly, European-inspired beach club. Offering great food, cocktails and daily DJs playing the best in house music.

“Open from April 15th until October 1st, every day from Midday - 10pm. Bookings are always encouraged to avoid disappointment, but walk-ins are also welcome, so come down and join us for some holiday vibes.”

Bayside Restaurant, Toft Zig Zag, Bournemouth

The Bayside Restaurant will be opening on August 1 for one month, the new venue at Toft Zig Zag will have a timber frame structure, indoor and outdoor seating, and private beach access.

The month-long dining experience is able to seat up to 180 people inside at any one time, with an additional 80 people outside on a wooden decking area.

The restaurant will serve meals including fish and chips, light bites like salads or crab sandwiches and local lobster or Portland pearl oysters.

Beach Diner, The Prom Diner, Boscombe

The Beach Diner is located opposite the Prom Diner in Boscombe.

Announcing the opening of their new beach site, a spokesperson from the Prom Diner said: “We are excited to welcome you to our new Beach Diner. Located opposite the Prom Diner, serving the same tasty food and drinks. Open 7 days a week from 10am, with sea views guaranteed.”

The Prom Diner serves breakfast, hot food, light bites, desserts, hot and cold drinks and alcohol.

Eldora, Urban Reef, Boscombe

Eldora is a pop-up on the beach deck at Urban Reef in Boscombe.

Customers can order at the counter and enjoy an outdoor dining experience on the beach front.

The pop-up is currently returning for its second year, last year it also hosted salsa classes by the sea.

The takeaway food container offers cold drinks, cocktails and flatbreads.

SOBO Beach, Southbourne

New venue, SOBO Beach, has just opened in place of the demolished Bistro on the Beach restaurant.

SOBO Beach aims to bring the “chilled, international vibes of Miami’s South Beach” to Southbourne.

The pop-up features ‘FlaminGo Grill’ and ‘Wok-Shack’ kitchens in shipping containers and an open-top double decker bus providing a full bar and VIP lounge.

The restaurant serves international food, including pan-Asian cuisine, sushi, stir fry and barbeque food, as well as ice cream and soft drinks.
