POLICE officers have launched a public appeal to find a man who went missing from the Purbeck area.

Scott Deakin, who is 37 years old, was reported missing at around 8.30pm on Friday, July 1, but he had last been spoken to in Harman’s Cross on Thursday, June 30, at approximately 4pm.

He is described as white, five feet eight inches tall, of athletic build and with short brown hair and stubble. He usually wears a baseball cap.

Inspector Nathan Liddicott, of Dorset Police, said: “We have searched the area and made a number of enquiries to establish where Scott may have gone.

“We are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare as he has not been seen for three days and we need to ensure that he is safe and well.

“Scott might have gone on a hike along the coast, but we have not been able to confirm this.”
