FIREFIGHTERS were called to a busy Bournemouth high street to tackle a building fire.
An aerial ladder platform was used by crews to investigate and extinguished with the blaze, which broke out in Charminster Road at around 11.15am on Sunday, July 3.
The fire service had received reports of smoke coming from the roof of a building with no signs of smoke.
A Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said a fire was located in a small corner of the roof.
Police closed the road while firefighters dealt with the incident.
The three-storey building in question was made up of commercial shops and flats.
The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus.
Fire crews from Springbourne, Redhill Park and Westbourne attended the incident.
Emergency services left the scene around 12pm.
