A RECYCLING centre in Poole was expected to reopen today after it was forced to closure yesterday due to a police incident.
Officers from Dorset Police were present at Nuffield Recycling Centre throughout the afternoon of Saturday, July 2.
Shortly before 2pm, BCP Council said on social media that the site at Nuffield Industrial Estate would be "temporarily closed".
Staff on site were telling people who turned up at the tip that it was closed for the rest of the day.
The Daily Echo has contacted Dorset Police and BCP Council for details on the nature of the incident.
At present no response has been provided from the force or local authority.
In a later social media post at around 6pm, a council spokesperson said: "Nuffield Recycling Centre will be open as usual tomorrow (Sunday).
"Apologies to anyone affected by today's short temporary closure - thanks for your patience."
