FIREFIGHTERS rushed to tackle a blaze on a Dorset heathland.
Crews were called to Studland Heath near Jerry’s Point at around 8.30am on Saturday, July 2.
Two fire engines from Swanage and one fire engine from Wareham attended the scene, which involved a fire in the open.
A Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said crews extinguished the blaze using one hose reel jet.
The fire was approximately 10 metres by 10 metres in size.
Crews left the scene at 9.09am.

The spokeswoman said details on the cause of the fire were not currently available.
