The work began in late May and had already been given an extension due to “difficult ground conditions”.

Temporary traffic lights in place have been responsible for queues of cars stretching all the way back to Sandbanks.
Wessex Water has written to residents throughout the process and there has been no interruption to their water or sewerage services.
A spokesperson for the company said: “We appreciate the Shore Road repair continues to impact road users, visitors and the community and we’ll do everything we can to complete work as quickly as possible.”
