A MAN must pay more than £418 after entering a train without a ticket.

Brandon Jackson, 23, of Southampton Road, Eastleigh, was found guilty by a single Portsmouth magistrate sitting behind closed doors.

He was caught at Southampton Central railway station on January 22.

The magistrate ordered him to pay a £220 fine with £4.70 compensation.

He must also pay a £34 surcharge and £160 prosecution costs.
