SOPRANO singing star Sarah Brightman will officially open and lead a Bournemouth pride event.
The trustees of Bourne Free announced the singer will be opening their Pride in the Park event in Meyrick Park on Saturday July 9 at 3pm.
She will also be leading the Pride parade, which starts from The Triangle in Bournemouth at 11am on the same day.
Bourne Free trustee and former Dorset Police Crime Commissioner Martyn Underhill MBE said: “For Sarah to lead our parade and then officially open the event for us as a dignitary is amazing not just for the event but for awareness of diversity issues across the landscape. We are grateful for her support.”
The Pride in the Park event will be preceded by a family fun night, also in Meyrick Park, the evening before.
Sarah Brightman is the world’s best-selling Soprano, having amassed record sales of more than 30 million.
