A BEACH bar which closed due to council regulations has  reappeared in a council car park - on the back of a lorry.

The Beach Hut bar which was on West Cliff sands closed earlier this week amid allegations that the council's rules and regulations had pushed them out.

The rules reportedly included: “No hens, stags and groups allowed as it encourages excessive drinking.

“And no loud music or DJs.”

On Tuesday, a spokesperson for BCP Council said: “It is unfortunate the operators of the Beach Hut Bar & Grill have made the decision to cease trading.

"We were working with the operator to encourage them to remain on site, however we wish them all the best in wherever they should choose to do business in the future."

The now dismantled bar was seen in BCP Council’s Queen’s Road Car Park in Westbourne on three open lorries on Thursday.
