IT was a weekend of very British weather.
As residents took to streets, gardens and even the beach during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee bank holiday, we saw a mix of warm sunshine, showers and even thunder and lightning.
With the four-day weekend now behind us, what does this week have in store?
As we head further into June, sunseekers may be disappointed as there’s not much in the way of hot sunny weather.

However, it is looking largely dry with spells of sunshine here and there.
Here’s the current forecast according to the Met Office.

Monday, June 6: sunny changing to light showers by late morning. Highs of 18C.
Tuesday, June 7: cloudy changing to sunny intervals by lunchtime. Highs of 19C.
Wednesday, June 8: light showers changing to cloudy by late morning. Highs of 19C.
Thursday, June 9: cloudy. Highs of 17C.
Friday, June 10: cloudy changing to sunny intervals by late morning. Highs of 17C.
