BOURNEMOUTH Pavilion Theatre is to host a free behind-the-scenes tour and special performances to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The town’s Grade II-listed art deco theatre and ballroom is to host the free-to-attend open day on Friday, June 3.

Guided tours from local experts will take visitors around the theatre, ballroom, on stage and behind the scenes with running anecdotal commentary about the theatre’s history.

Tours will be running in one-hour slots throughout the day, and spaces will be available on a first come first serve basis.
