CONCERN has been raised by police searching for a missing Bournemouth man who "left the area unexpectedly".

Police carrying out enquiries to locate the man are appealing for help and information from the public to find him.

Dorset Police received a report at around 2pm on Monday, May 16 raising concern for the welfare of 51-year-old Darren Miller. He was last seen at around 7.40am on the same day in Nutley Way.

Darren is described as white, five feet seven inches tall and of medium build with stubble and black or grey shaved hair. He has ‘love’ and ‘hate’ tattoos on his knuckles.

Officers have been carrying out searches of the surrounding area in a bid to locate Darren.

Police Inspector Matt Buller, of Bournemouth police, said: “Darren left the area unexpectedly, which is out of character for him and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“I would urge anyone who has seen Darren, or a man matching the description given, to please get in touch.

“Finally, if you see this appeal Darren, please contact us or your family as we just want to make sure that you are safe and well.”
