Police have revealed more details about the serious crash in Queensbury on Wednesday night.

Emergency services were called out at 10.37pm to Brighouse Road in Queensbury to reports of a collision between a car and lorry.

Two people were taken to hospital with serious injuries - these are not believed to be life threatening.

A 23-year-old man, who was driving the car, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to provide a specimen of breath.

The man has been bailed pending further police enquiries.

Anyone with information or those who witnessed the crash should contact West Yorkshire Police via 101, quoting log number 1964 of May 11.

A number of bus and road diversions are currently in place following an oil spill.

A spokesperson for West Yorshire Police said: "At 22.37 last night officers were called to Brighouse Road in Queensbury to reports of a two vehicle collision between a car and lorry.

"Two people were taken to hospital with serious injuries not believed to be life threatening.

"A 23 year old man who was the driver in the car was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to provide a specimen of breath. He’s been bailed pending further enquiries.
